"Stayed here this past summer for a few nights, absolutely loved it! Everything was so clean, the owners are so friendly and sweet. The shop is amazing with handmade quilts by the owner. The pool area was absolutely beautiful! We loved this place!"

"Ok…get your beer/coffee! I booked a different campground, for 7 weeks, a year ago…drove from Florida, arrived…all the trees had been cut down and it was basically a parking lot. No shade…nada. The vision was to work remote while enjoying upstate New York…trees, leaves, river….and let the Fall colors come to us. We arrived on a Sunday (one day early) and my wife went on a walk and discovered our planned oasis was a rock parking lot. So…I’m googling and calling, and really have very little hope I can find one site for the whole 7 weeks. Buffy answers. I explain my situation, it’s late, she’s tired….she says “I can do it….but I need to do it tomorrow”. No problem I say! Monday morning I unhooked the TOAD and sent my wife to explore Brookwood. I said….go see Buffy in person, see if there’s a site you like that she can give us….then call me. I was parked, with slide out and everything hooked up by 10am! Bathrooms get a 9/10 Sites get a 10/10 Location is a 10 Service a 10 The new pool and barn area is amazing (and you can be far enough away to not hear the live music…if you like, but it was perfectly done). They just installed WiFi repeaters so there is WiFi throughout the park. I worked (during the week) every day without issue. Can’t comment on cable as we don’t even turn on a TV when we travel. They have firewood and a well-stocked store. Laundry was NEVER an issue for us. We visited Lake Placid twice (you should go BEFORE the colors change, then after), Whiteface Mt., Ausage Chasm and Rainbow Falls, wineries, Ticonderoga, Saratoga…..and if you’re here, you have to visit THE Star Trek set (the actual set). I’m sorry people published bad experiences…we had a great time and it wouldn’t have been possible if not for Buffy and Mark."

"Some of the friendliest people you will ever meet run this place! There are quite a few seasonal folks here and we were lucky enough to grab one of the last sites available for the weekend. It was a little tight but we stayed at sites much smaller so it was a non issue for us but wanted to note it in case this was important information for someone else. The pool area is absolutely beautiful and they are building a HUGE pavillion near the pool which I suspect will host many great activities. There are a lot of rules to follow but for good reason. You can tell that the owners are pouring their heart and soul in to this place. The camp store is so much more than a camp store as it sells homemade quilts, signs, dog toys, kid toys, sweet treats and even pretty candles. There is an adorable scavenger hunt for painted rocks with clues for the kids. Upon completion, the kids bring it back to the camp store for a special surprise from the treasure chest. The campground was not noisy at all and it felt very friendly. I would definitely recommend Brookwood RV Resort."

"Campgrounds are decent and clean. However, the staff is very rude and argumentative. They are far from “welcoming”. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN - they do not allow kids in the pool unless they’re completely toilet trained. They do not allow swim diapers! Therefore, my 2 year old was not given a wrist band and was unable to swim. I’ve never heard of this kind of rule in my life, at any facility. Ridiculous. Do not recommend."

"We were at Brookwood last week of May till the beginning of June. I found the campground to be very nice. The owners are very pleasant and friendly. They have done a great job sprucing up the property. I will definitely keep them in mind for a future camping trip. Best yet, this is the only campground where we have received a thank you card from the owners. Kudos to them."
