"Very grateful to have had this insurance following a paragliding accident in Calle de Bravo, Mexico. The team coordinated my transport to the hospital and put me up in a hotel as a courtesy once I was discharged. Very fortunate I could walk away from the accident with only one fractured vertebrae in my back. I had my own medical insurance to cover the hospital fees - NOTE - medical insurance coverage is an additional cost to the Global Rescue offering. Do not buy Global Rescue and think your medical bills will be covered, they will take care of your transportation."

"Paid policy holder who luckily didn’t need Global Rescue services directly, however another member travelling with us was seriously injured and we received no assistance when trying to rescue him from a potentially life threatening situation. Save your money, you’ll be fending for yourself anyway."

"As a paid member of Global Rescue (GR) during a recent trip to Mongolia (24/07/23) I was astounded when they could offer little more than commentary when a rider (also a paid and valid member of GR) who had later been confirmed with 4x broken vertebrae was advised to make his own way to seek medical attention to the nearest town. I was in the support vehicle that drove him for over 7 hrs across unformed tracks to his first hospital, and then to the airport the next morning to fly commercially to Ulaanbaatar. All assistance was provided independently as GR offered none. GRs membership specifically offered medical support/medivac if such issues arose during the period of membership - however the reality is the policy ($259/30 day term) provided nothing.. "I was a motorbike rider in a group of 12 (all current members of Global Rescue) sightseeing in the Gobi Desert, Mongolia. One rider fell off and broke his back. Phoned GR on a Sat phone the company did nothing but advise us to seek local assistance. I recommend not to use this company as they provided zero support"
