The Chandler at White Mountains

"I've been staying at this hotel for three weeks because of my job. Been going home on the weekends. Have to say the rooms are great, customer service was on point. Brian from the front desk went out of his way more then once to accommodate me. I highly recommend this hotel."

"This place was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. It is a bit different from most hotels and there wasn’t much parking. However, it was what we needed. - there was noise in the hallways, and they are very interesting. There’s also only one elevator and it’s slow, so we took the stairs everytime. - I don’t think they have enough staff. The front desk person was great. But I felt bad for him because he was also cleaning bathrooms, a bell hop, and several other tasks. - the breakfast was actually not very good in our opinion. We got coffee that was watered down, and when you wrap food… well, you’ve got to be careful how you store it because of the moisture and I’ll leave it at that. - we did like their courtyard and the floating fireplaces were really neat. Overall, we would stay here again when we are in the area."

"This place is weird. At first glance it looks like a nice hotel but don't look too hard or you'll see how unfinished it is. Honestly it feels like it was someone's first design project. Room was large, but bare. The door didn't shut all the way unless pushed closed, so our room door was ajar upon arrival. The hooks in the bathroom are very far from the shower. The towel just sit on a bench in a pile. The sink wasn't finished or caulked. The door latch for the bedroom sliding door was completely cut out. There were light switches that didn't power anything. The only outlets were completely blocked by the nightstands. This place was crazy to me."

"The Chandler bills itself as a luxury boutique hotel but at the end of the day, it's your average motel with a fancy facade in the lobby. The rooms are large and modern but if you're bothered by noise from other rooms, pick another spot or ensure you're on the top floor. We had a very active room above us and we could hear every footstep running across the floor and the chair rolling around the room. The bathrooms also have a strange half wall in the shower but no safety handles if anyone has any stability issues getting into the shower. For a hotel that's supposed to be "luxury" the free breakfast was merely pre-packaged pastries, muffins, etc. There was nothing warm offered at all. The parking is also very limited directly at the hotel. They do have a satellite lot behind the hotel off a different street but there are no signs directing you that there is additional parking when the small lot is full. This hotel should be $150-175 a night not $300+ regardless of the location."
