"This hike’s popularity is well deserved. I hiked with a group of friends on a cloudier day. The hike itself was moderately hard with some sections where you need to use some hands if theres been rain recently. The top view is amazing even with cloudy weather. Recommend packing a lunch and eating it at the top. We saw lots of mushrooms and even a newt on the way up! Small warning: we did see a bear near the entrance on the way down so beware"
"I hiked here during my yearly vacation in New Hampshire. It's always a wonderful place to hike. The best hike was when I hiked with my father and my aunt on the sunset hike. You hike early in the morning. I think we began around 4 in the morning and got to the top at 6 am. It depends on what route you take and yourself. I think it usually takes 5-6 hours in total for me to hike up and down. I also hike with a big pack of my family, usually. There's a variety of routes that can match up how you prefer to hike! There's fun little piles of rocks with names and notes on the top. A gorgeous view up there, too! You can most of the lake p there!"
"Great hike. We did a sunrise hike started at 3:45am taking the blue trail all the way up. We really had to push it to make it to the top before the sunrise. This trail is tough. It’s a complete incline and at the last .5 mile you are scaling boulders. We had 10 y.o to 40 y.o. In our group. We all made it and in time to watch the sunrise but it was challenging. We descended on the yellow I believe. It was a much easier trail… if you’re looking to make it to the summit without wanting to quick 17 times… I recommend going this way. It’ll be longer but no rock climbing!!! Either way you go up the views are breathtaking."
