"Beware lead paint with small kids. There is a shed behind the historical society that is next to the trail head, it has peeling lead paint (looks like alligator skin). Keep your kids away from that shed. Other than that, the trail is great. There is a tree down close to where the trail markers end. Go around to the left of the tree and up the hill, after about 500 feet you'll see markers again. Pro tip for this trail. This is a beautiful spot for a picnic. Bring some food and some adult drinks and you can relax at the Cascades for a couple hours."

"This is a great area to walk and hike. A little bit of a challenge, but not so much that kids cannot handle it. The trail isn't super clearly marked the closer you get to the actual cascades (they are down a steep bank from the trail) but it's not too hard to figure out. We were able to walk in the water, and on the rocks, over quite a bit of the stream in mid-June. May not be able to do that at other times of the year."

"If you are looking for a short hike this is a great place to go. As you're walking you can hear and see the river and near the end you can go down to the rock area where the water cascades. We were there in November so there was no one else there. It was a peaceful walk in the woods"
