"If I could give zero stars, I would. I had to go to the hospital on Saturday (12/9/23) because I was covered in hives so bad to the point that not only my hand, but my FACE was swollen, and as I got to the emergency department, the triage nurse had even noticed that in the 10 minutes I was there, I continued to swell. He even had to use skin marker on me because it was spreading so fast. He told me that he made sure I was going right in. Not only did I still have to wait so long to the point where I went up to the triage nurse 4 times because everything was getting so much worse, but when they finally put me out back, they put me in a bed that was in the hallway! I wouldn’t have cared so much about this if they didn’t have to change my bed to another one because of a literal patient, across from me, facing the opposite direction, turning his entire body around, to lay on his side(almost on his stomach) to stare at me. After about 10-15 minutes of feeling uncomfortable because this guy was staring at me so hard without blinking, mind you, he clearly a regular because they called him by his first name, to the point where one of the male nurses noticed what was happening and saw how uncomfortable I was, security got involved and even with 4 staff members surrounding him, he STILL kept trying to stare at me around them to where the nurse just moved my bed. I was no in a bed that was as close to the nurses station as it could be. I was at bed 17 to start, which was up against the wall only a few feet away from the desk. The new bed they put me in to get me away from the damn creep they spent more time on, was literally up against the desk, bed 24 or 25 I believe. I still sat in that bad, for HOURS, continuously getting more and more swollen, and harder and harder to move at all. Not only did I say something to the nurses at the station multiple times, but my friend that was with me (thank goodness) went up to them several times to tell them how much pain I was in and how much worse it kept getting…. I went HOURS …. HOURS.. in full blown hives which I had never experienced a day in my life in almost 35 years! When the doctor finally made his way to me, he asked me if I had a cat, and if I had used anything new, and when I said no, he had them give me Benadryl and a steroid through the IV, and sent me on my way and told me to follow up with my doctor in a couple of days. They didn’t run any tests nor did they try to figure out what could have possibly caused me to have have such a horrible and terrifying reaction. The doctor discharged me and told me to just take Benadryl…. It is now Tuesday and I they still have not completely cleared up from how bad they were. I have a follow up with my actual doctor tomorrow and I intend to make sure that hospital directors know how the staff is treating patients! I am almost 35 and have never in my entire life, gotten hives ! And this hospital did absolutely NOTHING to help me and thankfully I didn’t go into some kind of shock from them waiting so patiently to treat me while clearly seeing the allergic reaction my body was having to something unknown to even myself. No tests, no treatments, no nothing. Here’s some Benadryl, go home and sleep it off. I still have no idea what has caused it. I will NEVER go back to that hospital, nor will I take my kids, and I will NEVER recommend any person I know, to go to this hospital. Lowell general hospital is the perfect hospital to go to if you intend on not living your whole life! Absolutely disgusted with the medical providers in that facility."
"HORRIBLE NURSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I want to say I never been to this hospital before and it will definitely be my last, the nurse “Raisa” was extremely unprofessional and rude that we left with out being seen due to the 3 hours of wait time on top of the unprofessional ways she was treating us. I never experienced that from a hospital employee she need to be fired if you see her be aware for the rudeness. There are many people who are sick and come to the hospital thinking they gonna get helped to only get treated the way she did… Its a shame"
"I went to the 2nd floor today where they seem to do IV treatments for a blood draw today and saw Ed and a man from the pic team, Greg. They were both so above and beyond incredible and advocated for me more than any Healthcare worker ever has, and made something i was incredibly nervous for a breeze. I can't express how wonderful they were and how grateful I am for their care."
"More often than not staff members at hospitals are not friendly and they seem almost irritated that you’re not feeling good- however I had a great experience there yesterday. My nurse was great, the CT scan assistant and the guy doing the CT scan were also great. The provider was also execellent. I’ve been at the hospital probably about 10 times this year for my stomach and this was by far the best hospital and best experience. The wait was not too long and even if it was I still would have had a great experience. It’s not very often that you go to a Hospital and every staff member there is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anybody! Much better than the other one in Lowell"
"My wife went to the ER room at 9:30 in the morning with my 1 year old son with high fever.. The RN just took his temp but never got Tylenol. She was waiting 6 hours in order for our son to get seen. This is a waste of time THIS HOSPITAL SHOULD RECEIVE INFANTS FIRST Instead of having them waiting 6 hours for them to get seen… Thank God my son was still alive when he got seen. I had to take my son to Boston Children’s Hospital were I didn’t have to wait for 6 hours in order for my baby to get seen!!!! I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL!!!!"
