"never going back. they mess up every appointment by either giving us an appointment and forgetting to put it in their computer or when we get to the appointment they completely forget to help us and we wait there for almost an hour before they finally help us. one time they did not even know we were waiting and seem confused when we were mad. this has happened many times and it isn’t ok. i will not be going back."

He never talked down to me like too many people do who are very bright and in a "special" area.. That's what a great allergist should do. However, he understood a missed diagnosis (by an un-named PCP), acted with great speed to get me to the right specialist which saved my life, That's what a great and brilliant doctor does. He saved my life by catching someone else's error before it was too late. He was, in my opinion before he did this, a great allergist & a great doctor. I am alive today because he connected the dots and made calls on my behalf; he saved my life. Just thought you might want to know that about him; brilliant man!"

"Buyer BEWARE of this business, they have proven to be UNETHICAL. I was a patient at CAARD for quite a while; then about 18 months ago, I decided to take another job. I was going to be without insurance for 3 months at my new job, so I asked if I could continue with my allergy shots and pay cash. The answer was yes of course, and they told me the price would be about $13. I was quite surprised at the low price and inquired why that wasn't the price given to the insurance company. The answer was that they have to charge the insurance company more since they negotiate down and have to do more paperwork. I never one time asked for a discount. I continued with my monthly shots, and paid $13 per month; a great deal. After having been at my new job for 3 months, I was enrolled in the company medical insurance. I continued with the shots and eventually the doctor's office informed me that I had a balance. This I did not understand, but it turns out they were putting in claims for past shots that I had paid for. Of course now these were more than the $13, but I didn't understand and I trusted the office since they had been more than fair; so I paid the balance. This happened a second time and a third time. The second time, I paid again. The third time, I refused and started to ask questions. I asked for documentation of services, which they could not produce. I asked for a record of past payments by me and by the insurance company, they refused. At this point the office clerk, told me I should feel guilty questioning her since they took care of me all of those months when I did not have insurance. She even said "when you were poor". She continued her rant about how great they were and that they are a respected firm. She then threatened to call collections and even said she was going to call my boss. Lastly she said she would call my insurance company and tell them I was refusing to pay my co-pay. Now I am getting "past due" notices for the $36 invoice. It is a pity that I am writing this since this office does have a good doctor and great nurses. Regardless, I will not do business with these scam artists."
