"The loan department of Northeast credit Union is fantastic! I'm a single mom and I work very hard for my money and I ended up buying a vehicle after leaving a very bad marriage and having the vehicle die on me not even a year and a half later! The transmission and head gasket went. To say that was upsetting is to say the least. I knew I was going to have to roll equity into the new loan and I was worried on how I was going to pull it off. Well, Northeast decided to work with me and got me into the vehicle of my dreams! I am very grateful and appreciative of this bank for helping me! Their terms are by far the best in my opinion!"

"Beware!!! Do not give them any personal information about yourself other then what's required, because they'll discriminate!!!! **Update- I have had 3 previous loans through ocean Communities/N.E.C.U. "Biddeford" in the last 20 yrs, all paid on time and in full. I've had direct deposit for at least 6 yrs with them. So they know me pretty well!!! Debt/income ratio- very good!!! Credit score- 700+!!! I applied for a small used car loan on 7/5/23. Through emails they asked for some personal info, and i was honest. Big mistake!! After i sent it, i started to think it was not a good chioce. Later that day I got an email.... DENIED!!! 7/6/23. I was stuned. I called them, and their reason made no sense. And to prove that to myself, I contacted another credit union I've never had a relationship with. Guess what??? APPROVED!!! No questions asked. Interest rate? Unbelievably low!!! Just gotta become a member, which I did in about 5 min!!! Be very careful with this place!!! Then, to add to their ignorance, they responded to my first review, saying they would like to talk to me, and told me to message them on Facebook. Why would they assume all their members use Facebook?? I don't. If they really cared, they would have reached out personally to me. They know who I am. I will be closing account asap, and taking my business to my new credit union."

"If I could give this credit Union ZERO stars for the collections department, I would. I called today to discuss an auto loan that was 27 days past due. As a responsible and accountable human, I contacted collections to see what my options were due to the fact that we have fallen into a difficult financial situation. I spoke with a woman named TRUDY, and from the first moment I spoke to her, she treated me with so much rudeness I was taken aback. After making me feel dumb for trying to use my social security number to gain access instead of my account number, she proceeded to act like I had called for no reason if I wasn’t going to make a payment today. I told her that I called today to see what my options were since I wanted to avoid my account going to collections. I did tell her that I was confused as to why she was being so rude to me, that she didn’t even know my situation, and I asked that she treat me with a bit more respect. Then, she hung up on me. Hung up. I literally was calling to be responsible and take care of things, and this woman could not have been more heartless in it all. Wow. I hope someone addresses this with TRUDY at the Portsmouth or Biddeford branch. I realize that some account holders are rude and collections is a tough business, but I was not one of those people today. SHE was … her job as a representative is meant to provide good and kind service to people. Seriously upsetting and a unfortunate for Northeast Credit Union that they have people who represent them this way. I truly hope this is addressed."

"I live in a city in Maine that has a Northeast Credit Union in it. I went there to cash 2 checks. The teller that serviced my needs was extremely friendly and courteous. His name is Andrew Cotton. I give this teller a straight high 5 for being respectful and highly helpful. I wish Northeast Credit Union could duplicate this teller. Northeast Credit Union needs more tellers like him."
