Cape Cod Hospital

"My visit spanned the emergency room and four days in the hospital. The emergency room personnel were very pleasant. They diagnosed a femur fracture but did not x-ray my ankle and missed the fractures there until I insisted on an x-ray (I am an RN). I bring this up because despite an x-ray or cat scan, a pelvic fracture was recently missed on a friend of mine. She had to return to the hospital due to pain and a second x-ray or cat scan revealed the fracture. The Mugar building (sixth floor) was beautiful and kept very clean. Staff were mostly pleasant, except in the recovery room (the RN clearly did not want to be there) but there were not enough of them. No one ever offered to assist me with a bath or "morning care." I had to request help. Nurse Katie was competent and inspired my confidence. Josie, a night assistant, was amazing and provided excellent care. She attended to everything within the scope of her practice with palpable compassion. I will never forget her. Sad that Cape Cod Hospital is experiencing staffing shortages like many other hospitals across the country."

"My mom complained of back pain for a full year. Cape Cod Hospital staff decided she was drug seeking for a YEAR before one doctor discovered she had cancer that caused several fractures in her spine. CCH is very lucky my mom is alive today. *Now* everyone is very cooperative and helpful. I'll never forget the way she was treated though. I can't bring myself to imagine what could have happened if it weren't for the one and only doctor who believed her. To Cape Cod Hospital: Don't bother giving me some number to call, you already tried that and then didn't answer me."

"Always clean even throughout Covd. Awesome staff. Building continues across the parking lot. We've seen the initial shell. Now electrical installation going on with powerful blowers for heat for the crews."

"Monday night October 16, 2023 We arrived at 1130 pm. I Took My teenage daughter to the ER because she was having some stomach pains and cramps. When we arrived there was hardly anyone there. (not busy at all) we were actually brought right back skipped the waiting room. We were put into a room and the doctor came right in and saw her. The doctor ordered a ultrasound and some blood work. Blood work was done and results have been back for hours now. But we are still waiting as of 320 am to go down and have her ultrasound!! We have not even HAD THE TEST YET. Now I would definitely understand if they were busy tonight or had a bunch of patients or something but nope! It's actually the quitest i have ever seen. It's rediculas. I asked if they forgot about her and the answer their was no. But pretty sure they did."

"OMG what a wonderful and beautiful hospital. First time using their facilities as my father was feeling sick and we brought him to the ER. Very impressed with their services and there staff , plenty of free parking. We brought my father to the ER and the staff were kind and just wonderful. The inside of the ER is very bright, big and spacious. They had all their stations in the middle of the floor (Open concept) and all the rooms surrounding them. My father had a room right away in the ER, after all the test were completed it was determine my dad was suffering from gall bladder disease. He was admitted within a couple of hours and Dr. Kalliath performed surgery the next day, he had a wonderful room and they took care of him like gold. The rooms were spacious and bright, he could order his breakfast, lunch and dinner out of their menu. I must say their menu selection is very good. We are so blessed this hospital was here and the way the entire staff treated my father and DR. Matthew Kalliath were just outstanding. ALSO if you happen to pass the Mugar cafeteria and love Chocolate pudding, you MUST get one or two."
