My expectations were definitely met and I follow up with the clinic on a regular basis. "My husband has been a BK amputee for about 5 years. Hanger Clinic in Portland, ME has been responsible for his prosthetic needs for all of that time. He feels very fortunate to be in the care of such dedicated and professional prosthetists. The entire team is exceptionally kind, caring and knowledgeable and the atmosphere in the office is courteous and friendly. He has found it very easy to schedule an appointment and they always go out of their way to accommodate his work schedule which we appreciate. Our Ampower Amputee group meets once a month where we share experiences, discuss topics of interest, have great refreshments and laugh together. Hanger also provides us with information on Maine Adaptive and the programs they offer in our area. My husband is the amputee but he and I work as a team in everything we do. And we are both very grateful for the support and care he is receiving at Hanger Clinic."

"Incompetent to say the least, scheduled an appointment for a brace at River Ridge for 9am today. Upon arrival we were informed by River Ridge staff that Hangers didn’t even have approval for the brace and they never bothered to inform us. We Waited over an hour and Heather went on with other fittings not even bothering to tell us herself. We had to call and speak with the manager at hangers to even find out what was going on!! NOT a very professional outfit to say the least when they can’t even make a good faith attempt to avoid inconveniencing people dealing with brain injury an in need of a brace!! If I could give a NEGATIVE rating I would have...... this lack of professionalism, common sense might be a reason why their reviews are as low as they are!!"
