"I spend quite a bit of my time during the month at Maine General in Waterville. Whether it is for an appointment with a specialist, blood work, MRIs or just at the Registration Office; I have had overall good experiences. **(BIG KUDOS to Lilly in Registration's who saved me from hitting the floor just outside her office. I had a pre-diabetes test that left me very light-headed and had to fast for it. I was waiting for my taxi when I felt woozy and walked back to the lab area where she asked me if I was okay. As I responded, "I'm not feeling so hot..." I started to pass out and Lilly came running out of her office to catch me. Once I came to I felt so foolish but also happy that MG has someone like Lilly working there. Thank you again dear Lilly...♡♡♡**"

"I cannot attest to the quality of the hospital as, fortunately I never had to go. I do want to say something about my physician. At my age I did not want to be treated as if I was going to die tomorrow. When Obama care came out, my previous physician no longer accepted Medicare. I went looking for a new doctor. My daughter was a patient at the Thayer Medical Center which had a Office in Vassalboro, ME. There I found Theresa Jacques. Terry treated me with such respect and, almost love. My age was never the reason for aches or pains. Pills were not always the answer. If you are looking for someone to care for YOU, you will find it in Terry. If only I could commute from PA to ME. She is what physicians are suppose to be. My love to her and the fantastic staff."

"It is a big campus with only 2 security guards on duty. Considering that the place is a magnet for those looking for drugs, more needs to be done to protect the patients and visitors. After an incident and out of concern for my safety, I stopped attending cardiac rehab. I have no qualms about the staff or level of care, only safety concerns. The police responded in less time than it took to locate a security officer with help from the staff."

"I just got back from a distressful visit to Thayer. I have been there for several medical necessities over the 8 years I have lived in Waterville and have never had a bad experience until today and fell the need to write a review. To start with, I have been very sick for over a week and was there to get a chest X=ray to rule out pneumonia. It was evident that I was not well. The Xray tech, Pricilla came to get me in the waiting room and I asked if my husband could come in. She said no, and brought me to a changing room and spoke to me as if she couldn't care less about my health...with absolutely no compassion for how lousy I was feeling. I even remarked how cold the room was and she just stared and said "Get undressed from the waist up" . She had not one kind or compassionate word for me at all and I was made to feel as though I was an annoyance. When I was done she told me to get dressed and pointed down a hall for me to leave. She did not say goodbye, have a nice day, hope you feel better...nothing. She was like a robot or more accurately like someone who has no business in the medical field. I started down the hall she sent me down and some volunteer noticed me and and told me I was going the wrong way. Even though she had come to get me and knew that my husband was waiting for me, she still sent me down the wrong way to get out!! I don't normally write reviews unless they are positive, but this experience concerned me. I have to wonder how many patients with greater concerns than mine have been made to feel as though they were interrupting her day. Thank you for your attention to this review and I hope that others with worse issues such a lung cancer do not have to be subjected to such rude and disrespectful treatment."
