"Wonderful Maine getaway. From the water taxi pickup at the parking area to the rustic but lovely cottages, this is the ideal place to unwind. We’ve been back three times and are planning the next visit. We enjoy reconnecting with nature, finding a since of peace and solitude. The pluses are: all inclusive features—great meals at the lodge (a take away picnic for lunch) and every kind of watercraft to explore the lake. Good hiking options. Nights are dark and silent, sunrise and sunset mark the days. We love having no agenda and making the day up as we go. Families or couples all seem to enjoy the intimacy of the layout and a chance to just sit on the cabin porch or gather in the lodge around a board game. The owners and staff are the best people and set the tone for a laid back time away from it all. Highly recommend!"
