"Genna was my birth doula for my first birth. My husband and I honestly don’t know how people go through their first births (or any for that matter) without someone like Genna! Ahead of the birth of our son, Genna made herself available to me throughout my entire pregnancy to answer any questions about my changing body, or provide advice with different ailments I’d encounter, and also help plan for my upcoming birth. Upon her arrival to the hospital she brought all the supplies which took a lot of things off our personal hospital bag checklist - mood lighting, music, birthing combs, you name it she had it! Our room was transformed into my dream environment. The entire laboring process she provided us coping mechanisms, and had us talking in between making the time pass swiftly. She was extremely knowledgeable and would help explain nurse jargon to us if we had questions. I don’t have any other birth to compare it to, but I left feeling like my birth experience was beautiful and everything I ever hoped for. Genna educated my partner in how to support me as well, so he was involved in the entire day- and Genna put him at ease with his own worries and concerns. We can’t recommend Genna enough and I truly could not imagine my pregnancy and birth without her."

"Update: Ashley helped me through the birth of my second baby, and it was just as excellent as the first! She helped me make decisions that were best for myself and my baby, and I avoided any interventions (no epidural!). The second time went so smoothly that when I had the urge to push, nobody thought it possible because my labor has been so chill up until then, Ashley and I spent it just walking the hallways and pausing for contractions! Ashley made my prenatal, birth, and postpartum experience so much smoother and calmer than I ever could have expected! I cannot recommend her enough! She met with me during the pregnancy and educated me on what to expect, how to make for a more peaceful and less painful birth, and all of my options in the hospital so I felt incredibly prepared. She went the extra mile, showing me massages to do to help baby get into the correct position, helped me through a scary near-induction experience at the very end of my pregnancy, and checked up on me regularly to make sure I was doing ok. I gave birth at Exeter hospital and Ashley provided invaluable help through contractions, helping me make the most of them and breathe and position myself to calm down and be able to overcome them. I made it through without the need of an epidural, entirely because Ashley and my support person gave me the best environment possible- in the tub, with a soothing light touch massage, aromatherapy, tea lights, and music, it was incredible how big a difference this made! I felt safe and calm and was able to come back down after every contraction. Ashley made my birth experience feel so powerful! Ashley also checked up on me postpartum, creating this amazing basket with goodies and helpful information, it was so wonderful having her check in on us and once again, give us even more info that helped us in those first weeks! Overall, Ashley truly cares about her clients and is an incredible help before/during/after birth!"
