"This is one of the best MH hospitals I have ever experienced. The staff was awesome and I appreciate all of their help and attention to my care. As a patient, I went in very unstable and after four weeks of intensive care; I was back up and running. Again kudos to all of the staff and leadership over at McLean SouthEast. I highly encourage if you or a loved one is struggling with MH McLean is a place of hope and a beacon of light for the community."

"I was in the adolescent unit. The staff were extremely helpful and very kind, and they listened very well when I needed them to. They gave me the help I needed and helped get me out of probably the worst place of mind I've been at in my entire life so far. The only reason I deduct a star is because sometimes the other kids there REALLY pushed my buttons and the staff never handled it appropriately. Other than that love the staff, especially Becca and Patrick! They're all so great. Would recommend it if you need it."

"Cons: They do not have an onsite therapist which I thought was ridiculous. A place like this should have a professional that the patients can talk to, not staff that are not fully trained in what they are dealing with. My child went here and they would talk to them before talking to me about medication, going back to school, and what would happen when coming home. I don't understand why they think a CHILD who clearly doesn't make good life decisions (hence why they are there) should have the power to choose anything before you have a serious discussion with their parent/caregiver. My first conversation with my child since being here they burst into tears and wanted to leave. The whole point of being there was for them to learn coping skills. It doesn't look like they learned a lot. Needless to say, very disappointing."

"Dr. Kumar and Emily T went above any beyond to help me get my life back. They listened to me, worked with me and helped me. Other places have you meet with the psychiatrist and therapist for five minutes. The doctor and therapist here really care. I was heard, listened to, they really want to help and care. Most of the nurses and counselors helped to. The fresh air space looks like a jail yard and the food is ok for hospital food. Felt weird leaving a review from my regular account. I’ve been to 3 hospitals this one the best by far."
