"LET THE BUYER BEWARE Pros: I was able to get a same day appointment to get an x-ray after rolling my ankle. At the appointment, I was seen promptly, and had the results of my x-ray right away. Cons: After ascertaining that my ankle was not broken, I was told that I needed to be fitted for an air cast. A nurse came in with the cast, and after determining that it fit correctly, asked me to sign off on paperwork that I was liable for the full "cost" of the cast if insurance did not pay - $586. I was not given any other options. When we gasped at the price, she ignored our reaction. When my husband asked if we could get it cheaper on Amazon, the nurse just sneered at him and continued filling out paperwork and shoved a clipboard at me. We felt we had no choice but to sign. She was in our room for less than 10 minutes. After arriving home, we did a quick search on the manufacturer's website (Don Joy) and found the exact model selling retail for $285. Core is buying these at wholesale which is typically half the retail cost - so AT MOST around $137. And then they turn around and sell it to patients for a mark up of 420%. Upon further research, we found the exact same model on Amazon for $120. So, what's the actual price for the cast? Who knows, but at $578, Core Orthopedics is easily making a profit on my injury of nearly $500 on the boot alone. This price difference is unethical - it's scalping. The cost of office visits, deductibles, co-pays - it's already astronomical. I have never had this experience with any other medical practice. I will never visit this practice again and have cancelled my follow up appointments. We have contacted and lodged a complaint with the finance office and the medical office manager. Here's an interesting breakdown of my visit; Office Visit - $291 X-Rays - $113 Air Cast - $586"

"Can’t put into words how kind and caring Dr. Feeney and his assistant Jessica are. They are professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. They come into your appointment prepared and make you feel comfortable. I felt like they listened to me and my concerns which can’t be said for most other offices in the Seacoast area. They were able to get me in quickly both for evaluation and treatment."

"The team at this facility is like the "posse that couldn't shoot straight." I was there 3 times for X-rays after breaking my ankle earlier this month. On the first and second visits, I received the same diagnosis--wear a boot for 6 weeks. Several days after my third visit, I received a voice message from the PA handling my case: he said that the radiologist had reconsidered the severity of my break and wanted me to come in for more films. During the month, I never spoke to a doctor once--only the PA. who, by the way, never bothered to take my boot off to physically examine my broken ankle. I have lost all faith in this place. I am now headed to a surgeon in Boston. On a side note, good luck trying to get your records forwarded. After faxing my request for films and my file,(they won't take a scanned document) I was bounced from one department to a 3rd party and back again--frustrating beyond words. Overall I feel that I received sloppy, unprofessional care. We shall see next week if it was negligent as well."
