"My daughter was “seen” at the Child Sick Clinic today and we had such a horrible experience. The nurse was rude and told my daughter she had other patience to take care of because she was scared to have her throat swabbed. She then walked out of the room and said the provider would do it. The provider came in close to an hour later stating it’s not the nurses fault my ten year old was not cooperating. She said if she doesn’t let her swab her throat she will also leave the room. Telling my 10 year old that they just did this to a 2 year old with no issues is not the right way to approach the situation. She has a fear from the first time they did this exam several months ago where her throat was hurting for days later. We left there with no treatment and went right over to Southcoast Urgent care where they were beyond patient and compassionate with my daughter. They did a full exam along with a throat culture, no problems whatsoever. I will not bring my daughter back to this facility ever again."

"Good luck getting someone to help you. 12 months ago How can we help you? I need a primary care, phone tag for 6 months. Currently no Dr., no medication, can’t walk, and have to start over somewhere else! All the good Drs. Have retired or left…forget this place!"

"My wife has used Hawthorn as her primary care for a little over a year now and I can’t think of a single positive thing to say about this facility. They’ve misread her labs and suggested procedures based off that only to call back and cancel because they had the wrong info. She’s waited over an hour and half at her last two appointments only for them to do essentially nothing and recommend more appointments and waiting. She’s had a revolving door of doctors that are socially awkward and the facility reeks of incompetence. I’d take my family to an animal hospital before I’d let them use Hawthorn Medical Associates again."

"If I could give this place a lower star I would. Today I called to reschedule a appt due to a funeral at the time of my appointment. I was on hold for 1 hour and 30 min. On the website it says that they close at 5 it was 3. I ended the call at 4:47ish. I called 4 times. when I spoke to the receptionist and told her that I needed to be connected to my dr because I needed to canal a appointment due to a FUNERAL and that I have been on hold for an hour. I did not want to pay a bill of my appt for not showing up. But I called the receptionist told me she did not care if I hade a funeral it was not her problem that the floor was not answering and for me to stay on hold or just hang up the phone and she did not care if I got billed or no for not attending my appt. This is not a place that I want to go to for a dr. the attitude from the office was horrible and did not take my feeling of what I was going through into consideration. This was horrible the way I was treated was disgusting. ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!!!1"

"I have a lot of faith in several doctors at Hawthorn Medical! I would not go anywhere else! When my dad was really sick he got calls from his pcp telling him it wasn’t safe for him to drive in his condition at 9:30 at night. That’s a doctor who cares. They all worked together and treated him with better care than Boston doctors did. My favorite doctors are Dr Will primary care, Dr Rocha heart, Dr Anderson oncology, Dr Mackler primary care, Dr Caron gynecology , Dr McGinnis dermatology, and many others !"
