"ATTENTION CORPORATE Still nothing back from management as of 1/14/24 Parents Beware of Scam gift Cards This review is in the process of being written. This is an initial review based on experience we had while visiting friends in Yarmouth. My son, who thinks he knows more about the world than he actually does and in this situation went on a bike ride eith friends and decided to buy a Visa gift card. He has tried this in the past and we explained to him in the past that these are not like Walmart gift cards, but we were not there with him however to protect him this time around. The next line of defense should have been the cashiers behind the front desk of Walgreens who sold this card to our son who was clearly a minor (age 14) and furthermore allowed him to place a hundred dollars onto the card. Fast forward a couple of days and I'm in the kitchen doing dishes and my son walks out and asks me if he can have his social security number. Obviously this peaked my interest and I asked him what he needed it for and he said that there was some man online that was helping him activate the card and needed his social security number. This is when I found out that he bought the card without my knowledge. We want the very next day first thing in the morning to Walgreens where I approached the manager, Matt, and explained the situation to him . He was appropriately concerned and embarrassed at the fact that one of his cashiers sold my son one of these cards that these cards we're known to be recreated by scam artists and placed out into the general market. He pulled all of those particular gift cards off the shelf and put them behind the counter. All of this BUT he was unable to give our child back his $100. I would suggest to a manager that in the future to avoid the shitstorm of negative press that is that could ensue, I would have offered $100 out of my own pocket for the customer and worked to get reimbursed from my corporate office. I understand that he has a certain level of authority within his own store, yet I would have suggested to him to go to one of the registers and simply pull the $100 back and work out the rest as a manager. Our son had both receipts from a couple of days before so I don't see it as having been a problem with corporate. With exception of not taking the initiative and returning our money, this manager did a good job and I appreciated his support and how he helped educate my son who is fantastically stubborn when it comes to trying to teach him the ways of the world. At the end of the day it was my son that lost a hundred bucks. It wasn't given to him he earned it through some hard work around the yard so he learned a valuable lesson as well. We've always told him that if he listens to his mom and dad he will have less pain in his life. That includes Financial pain. So in this situation, he got what he deserved, a real world education. And a cheap one at that This review will be changed when we hear more about what he is able to do for us. It will change once we learn more about how Walgreens stands behind its community. Chris"

"I appreciate the pharmacy employees who do their best, but Walgreens is a fundamentally bad company. They pay essential medical workers laughable wages and then act surprised when they can’t keep any pharmacy open. Of course nobody will work for you when you treat them like trash for no pay. The CEO of Walgreens is paid 17.29 million dollars per year, and the employees who work so hard to help you are barely paid enough to stay alive. Through this negligence Walgreen’s is playing with people’s safety. It is horrifically irresponsible to be treating prescription medications in this way. The indecency of speaking to a robot on the phone will make you feel sick, and you actually will be sick when they hold your essential medication hostage. Use this pharmacy because you have no other choice, but hold on tight for your inevitable medication withdrawals. I hope the weight of greed on this company kills it, and I hope every executive burns in hell."

"Currently there is a sign on the door that says closed at 3PM! While google hours say they close at 9pm. I guess they just make up their own hours which is very inconvenient."

"Used to be my pharmacy. Never go here! What kind of pharmacy is closed on the weekends? Hannafords...a grocery store has a pharmacy open 8 to 8. Its a mile away! No cold drinks either.... This place is a shipwreck!"

"This place is terrible. Rite aid was great. Now the shelves are bare and there have been no cold drinks in 2.5 months! How can a massive company that calls themselves a grocery store not sell cold drinks. The hot dog stand on Main Street has cold drinks. It is ridicules. To add onto that the people working there act like they just got cracked over the head with a Louisville slugger. They are so oblivious to life. Don’t go to Walgreens. They need to go out of buisness"
