Botanica Gardens

"This place is a beautiful paradise lovingly composed over years/decades of careful nurturing. It is a serene, creative atmosphere or a garden (if you prefer) that will magically lift anyone from their earthly woes by just walking through. We were asked not to photograph. To this I must say, you needn't worry about people "stealing" ideas...like making bread -give the same 4 ingredients to 10 people, flour, water, yeast, and salt, and you will get 10 different results. To the proprietors I say, relax, your secret is safe."

"A hidden oasis, worth visiting even if you don’t have any plans to garden. We were told there is no photography allowed, which was puzzling but I’m sure there is a story there. This place is definitely charming, but the quality of goods on offer is really lacking. Stone statues are dappled about, but many are missing limbs and not priced accordingly, if they even bother to price them. The house plant selection is very meagre with almost none of them priced either. The pot selection is really small and don’t even bother looking for cache pots. Mostly what Botanica has on offer is outdoor plants. I saw a few with a strange disease that caused growths on leaves. The Chinese lanterns were chewed to bits by bugs, and no surprise here, not priced. The employees we spoke to were not very friendly, and on our way out we were boxed in from exiting by a tractor hauling goods into the exit of Botanica. Apparently it was our fault we were trying to go out the only exit and the old man driving the tractor gave us a mean look and exasperated gesture while we tried to get out of his way."

"I've been to a lot of garden centers, and this is BY FAR the most amazing center I've ever been too! Spent a hour there, and there's so much to see.. it's an experience. Plants are very healthy and center is beautifully maintained. Wonderful customer service and people! Highly recommend stopping in to check this place out.. will not disappoint!"
