The owner, a skilled textile designer and weaver, works on vintage Crompton and Knowles dobby looms, using up to 24 harnesses to achieve complex weave structures.
The patterns at Bedfellows Blankets are all original designs, drawing inspiration from textile traditions from around the world. Limited edition cotton throws and wool throws are available for purchase, with the option for custom weaving using a customer's own wool or commercial yarns. Custom work requires a minimum length of 40 yards.
