Wheaton College Campus Safety Office

The Wheaton College Campus Safety Office, located at 30 Taunton Avenue in Norton, Massachusetts, is dedicated to providing comprehensive safety and security services to the campus community. Our team of patrol officers, investigators, and parking enforcement staff work around the clock, 365 days a year to ensure the safety of all students, faculty, and staff.

Our department operates under a hybrid model of sworn and non-sworn officers, with sworn officers possessing police powers granted by Massachusetts General Law. All officers undergo rigorous training in CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures to ensure they are prepared to handle any situation.

In addition to providing physical security, our department also offers educational programs on safety and crime prevention. Specialized instructors lead the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program, empowering individuals with self-defense skills.

We work closely with contract security officers and dispatchers from Securitas to create a network of safety services that prioritize integrity, respect, and service excellence. Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the Wheaton College community.

To further enhance safety on campus, we offer the LiveSafe mobile app, which allows students to easily report tips and seek help from Campus Safety. Additionally, we publish annual reports on criminal activity in accordance with federal law (The Clery Act) and provide ongoing crime and safety education programs.
