J-DAPA, located at 5 Enterprise Lane in Smithfield, Rhode Island, is a premier institution offering high-quality and affordable classes and performance opportunities in dance, theater, and music. Regardless of age or experience, everyone is welcome to participate in our all-inclusive education programs, which cover everything from performance to design and technology.
Our mission at J-DAPA is to foster a love and appreciation for the arts within the Rhode Island community by involving performers of all ages. We strive to keep costs low for children and adults to participate in theatrical arts by raising funds through our productions. Our goal is to enrich the lives of our members and audience members alike by promoting an appreciation and education of the arts.
In addition to our dance program, we produce 1-2 full-length musicals per season, providing our students with ample opportunities to showcase their talents on stage. Join us at J-DAPA and experience the transformative power of the arts!

"I traveled from New Hampshire to Rhode Island to see J-DAPA's The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong. I had such an amazing time that I attended the very next night as well. Everything about this production had me smiling and laughing from start to finish: the script, the performances, the costumes and set... There were so many moving pieces to this production, it really was a marvel. The crew and directors are clearly very talented to keep so many plates spinning. I could see in the finished product, and in talking with some of the cast and crew afterwards, the passion and zest that clearly drives them all. I will definitely be making the trip to see future J-DAPA productions."
