Hancock Lumber

"Last week had an interior door delivery scheduled for before noon. It never got to us finally called, the schedulerer Jerome never picked up. Finally got ahold of someone else and they let us know that Jerome sent them the opposite way so it never got to us until 4:45 at night. This week we were suppose to receive cabinets from them as well got an email 6 days ago from Jerome saying they would be delivered in zone 2 before 11:59. Called at 2:15 and he said we don’t like you because you’re not a good customer so you will receive them within a few days. I told him why did he send an email saying they would be delivered before noon. His response was I send hundreds of those emails a day and don’t follow up on any of them. I asked if he could please deliver them and he said no way I don’t deliver anything, I just handle the phones. Lost a lot of respect for Hancock, love using them but if they let employees sick around customers the way Jerome does then good luck. Everyone in the store, and sales people are great they just said it is out of there control and if Jerome doesn’t like you then he can do what he wants. Very sad ."

"Used Hancock lumber to build my house, very nice in the beginning salesman was great, then in the middle of me building home they let go salesman and never told me, when I called store manager wouldn't even talk to me, gave me someone else to talk to. That salesman was the worst and when I called store manager again wouldn't talk to me, even called main office in Casco didn't seem to care. Been building for over 40 years never had such bad experience with lumber company. All I can say is run! Only reason it gets one star is so I can post it!!!!"

"I have been to the Hancock lumber yard, but have not been involved with the kitchen showroom. The help and materials are good. Their second warehouse is very clean and the shelves are fairly organized."

"Bought a door through them installed it and recently noticed a crack near bottom of door as well as the side that has warped. Only had this door 6 months. Called and took them days to finally call back after calling them once a day. Gentleman told me he would send in the claim but most likely it wont be covered in warranty and went on to tell me fiberglass doors are pretty much bullet proof. If they were bulletproof how could a door crack so easily? Will never use again if they can’t stand behind a product that they sell."
