"I tried to arrange kite surfing lessons through Ron at Adventure Kiteboarding School. When it came to making payment (requested in advance) Ron tried to get me to pay him via PayPal’s ‘Friends and Family’ option rather than as ‘Goods and services’ to avoid any fees. This would require me to lie (Ron is neither a friend nor family), is expressly against PayPal’s usage policy, advised against on all sorts of financial websites and is essentially fraud (attempting financial gain - avoiding PayPal fees - through deception). If I had paid Ron in this way I would also have lost the ‘Buyer Protection’ that PayPal offers to guard against scams. When I pointed this out to Ron he said that we were ‘not a good fit’. By this I presume Ron means that we don’t share the same values such as honesty and integrity. I’m very surprised that Ron feels that it’s appropriate to ask customers to lie and hope that he will reconsider. I wont accept it and I would urge other potential customers not to accept it either."

"Ron is an awesome instructor , safe , patient and great at explaining what you need to do , he also uses headsets while your learning to ride to give on time instruction and corrections. I would highly recommend adventure kiteboard school/ instructors"

"I took my first kiteboarding lesson with Ron and I couldn't have been happier with my experience, after a few hours of learning to fly the kite I was able to get up on the board my first attempt! Ron is extremely knowledgeable about kiting and has many years of experience. During the lesson he provides a headset so you can always hear his instructions clearly which is very helpful. I am still in contact with Ron about purchasing my own gear and feel welcomed into the kiteboarding community!"
