Academy For Little Children - West Warwick

"My boys have gone to Academy for 2 years now. I am an overprotective, anxious "helicopter mom". Everything makes me nervous and giving up control was absolutely terrifying for me but I had to go back to work. I had heard amazing things about this place and I took the virtual tour (during COVID) and it seemed clean, organized and well run. My kids took to it immediately. They love their teachers, their friends and the facilities. They have been potty trained by them, taught to speak and write etc. They are so smart and I wish I could take the credit. I also spent a small stint there as an employee to help when they were short staffed so I was able to see the operation from a different perspective. Honestly, it only made me that more confident that my kids were safe, loved and happy. Their cleanliness practices, policies and educational goals for the kids are outstanding. The staff are all very sweet and I did not meet a single teacher who did not want to be there. Truthfully, I trust these people with my children as much as I trust my parents and even my spouse. Having that kind of support is priceless."

"I tried to put my daughter in this daycare I spoke to the manager there everything seemed good, I took a zoom tour everything looked perfect was really happy about placing my daughter there filled out the forms. Sent them in. Called them said they would get back to me. Said they would email me. Never responded when I called them they said they were low staffed. So I waited another week. No response. To me that’s just a red flag itself. If you can’t even return a phone call or email cause your that low staffed how are you going to take care of my child. Why did you even have me take a zoom tour if you weren’t going to respond. Waste of my time. Not professional."

"As a first time parent the thought of choosing a daycare for your child can be a little nerve-wracking. We called the Academy for Little Children after being a highly recommended facility from a close friend, and went on a wonderful tour with the director. All of the rooms have a warm, welcoming environment and the teachers are wonderful. The rooms are divided by appropriate ages to encourage growth ( i.e. 3-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months, etc.) This structure has been wonderful for our son; the teachers really work with each individual student and their development. The Academy is always clean and has a high-tech safety system as well. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my son to go for the past two years and counting. You can tell that the employees are all highly trained in early childhood education. ALC is truly the best!"
