"Phenomenal school. Please go see it for yourself, don't trust the ridiculous negative reviews posted here about lice or poor academics. The kids coming out of Bement generally go on to attend some of the best secondary schools in the country, and that's not by accident. They even teach manners, encourage personal hygiene, and require decent dress... all things conspicuously absent from most schools."

"I did not want to respond to the other reviews since I found them so ridiculous but just in case someone out there took them seriously I wanted to clarify. I am a physician and a long time parent of 2 Bement students. Simply put, Bement is amazing. It balances outstanding education with diversity and a focus on the needs of each individual child. The school works incredibly hard to respect everyone's point of view and goes out its way to listen and to respond to the concerns of the parents and children. To even suggest there is "biases" or "classism" is a reflection on these reviewers lack of knowledge of the school and not on the tenants of this outstanding institution. With respecet to the medical situation, the comments about lice is truly a reflection of the reviewers ignorance about the pathophysiology of a common disease. Bement has built 2 amazing new dorms for the boarders in the past several years. They are state of the art living facilities which rival any boarding situations in the country. The school has an amazing school nurse who has implemented a very progressive lice prevention and identification program to quickly identify and treat any potential outbreaks. Other schools would be well served to follow Bement's example. Bottom line, in my opinion, it is the best educational experience you can find anywhere. If you are interested just stop in for a visit and see for yourself...you will see why it is such an amazing place"
