"Created my wife's perfect, gorgeous diamond engagement ring."
"Very rude and change prices when you go pick up your things. Happened to me before and now my friend, too"
"Love this store. The staff is great. I bought my wedding band and a Diamond necklace here. My son also bought the diamond for his wife’s engagement ring and they set the stone in an existing band, beautiful work."
"I have always had a good experience when shopping there. I DID have to WAIT one time while the owner was helping an elderly man. It seems the man wanted a "shaver sharpened" there as he had for 10 yrs. The owner patiently chatted w/the man & accepted the razor. When I inquired, the owner smiled "I'm going to take it to be sharpened somewhere then tell him it's a free service for good customers". A&K..... a business with a heart."
"DO NOT LET THEM WORK ON YOUR JEWELRY!!! I took my engagement ring there shortly before I went on vacation to have them check on the prongs. This had been my grandmothers actual wedding set and hadn't been serviced in 50+ years and I had felt that the prongs were a little loose. The woman said the prongs were very loose and she was surprised I hadn't lost the stone! I was mortified at the thought of loosing my late grandmothers stone but was also concerned since I would be leaving in 10 days for a 2 week vacation out of the area. She assured me they could have the prongs reset in just 48 hrs! WOW I thought, this is fantastic. . . after assuring me the look of the ring wouldn't change and discussing price I left my ring there to be repaired. Sure enough 2 days later I got the call that it was ready for pick up - and here is why you should NEVER EVER leave your jewelry with these HACKS. They changed my stand up solitaire setting into a sunken in basket! Not having really any experience in jewelry I was not able to exactly communicate what just didn't seem to fit correctly. I was told Robert did the work and he would be in the following day if I wanted to return to discuss it with him. I thought ok, I'm not unhappy at this point but couldn't exactly put my finger on what was different. Well I get home and realize the matching wedding band no longer sits up against the engagement ring and the whole thing seemed much larger at the head. I returned the next day, still unable to speak the jewelers language of basket vs stand up solitaire, I explained that it no longer fit snug against the band - he assured me he understood the problem, took the ring for another day and when he returned it to me he had shaved off one side of the basket so now from the side one side was flat and the other looked pregnant!!! I was furious - beside myself that my grandmothers ring was ruined! I was in tears right in the middle of the store. This pompous A** preceded to justify his butcher job and refused any sort of compensation or any form or way to correct the hack job. I left, sat in my car out front for nearly 10 minutes sobbing and then went back in - with the FIRE I was born with and flipped out. It was then and only then he said fine I'll credit you $50 (not even half of what he charged me) PLEASE just NEVER trust them with anything you truly value."
