"My daughter was getting her ice skates from this store. I am very pleased with a service. We came an hour earlier, because we were coming from CT and were afraid to stuck in RI traffic. The owners didn’t turn us away, they were so kind to serve us and give us some time and attention, despite difficulties we caused them. They took time to explain everything to us. I can tell they put our interest first. They offered us exactly what we needed to. I am very grateful to them. My daughter is enjoying ice skating so much now because she has a perfect ice skates for her level. We are so lucky to have this store here in the area because if you want to enjoy ice skating you have to have a good skates."

"Mike and Cheryl run an amazing and very friendly shop. My 6 year old daughter has been skating for about a year now and the 2nd hand skates she had weren’t cutting it anymore. Her coach told us what a great shop igloo was and she wasn’t wrong. Mike and Cheryl took the time with my young daughter to fit her with the right skates and also explained why they were the right skates and didn’t try to upsell us into a boot she wasn’t ready for yet at her current ability level. They also made sure she was happy with how they felt on her to make sure the fit was correct and took all her feedback into account when slightly adjusting her new boots. They even explaining to advanced of a boot would actually end up holding her back in her lessons. They also took the time to explain how to correctly lace the boot and even had me do it myself while Mike was watching and teaching me how to do it correctly. Mike and Cheryl run an amazing figuring skating shop and truly want to sell you the correct skate you can tell they truly care about the sport and want to fit their customers in the right skates. They will not just try and sell you the most expensive skate. We will be returning when my daughter needs her new skates sharpened and eventually when she is ready for the next level of figure skates. Igloo is a great family run business and it really shows."

"This is a fabulous local store for ice-skates. Ice Skates are one of those things that you really should buy from a brick-and-mortar store, and be fitted for properly. We've gone there several times now for kids skates, and I bought myself a pair. Mike and Cheryl take so much time and care to ensure we all have the proper-fit. Mike's able to do all sorts of custom adjustments to make the fit as perfect as possible. They really take their time with you and it's always a great experience. I can't recommend this place enough. They are true professionals, and the customer service is second to none."

"The best place to get a professional fitting for a figure skate in all of New England! That's my humble opinion having had skate fittings from many shops around New England. Michael is a professional with over 3 decades of experience. His advise and recommendation is highly valued. He recommends skates for individual skill level and not quick to over boot. For figure skaters, this is the only place to have blades sharpened right. (Again, my opinion). The shop is now call Igloo Skates having recently been renovated. It is spacious, clean and nicely organised. They have plenty of new stocks priced very reasonable. For family with kids just starting, get them professionally fitted here. They have many entry level skates. I wished I had known this shop when my 2 kids started skating 8 years ago. Would have saved money on poorly fitted skates and emergency room visits."
