"Carlos did not do the work as we had agreed. For a small kitchen project, it took him about 3 months to do work that was meant for 2 weeks. Carlos overcharged - we paid about $20,000 for work that was not even worth $10,000. Carlos ended up not even completing the work and refused to give back money that he had received in excess. Carlos was outright deceitful, denying he had received money even when the bank make it clear he had. When I tried mediation he refused to show up."
