Nick's Place Newmarket

"It's counter service with food delivery to your table. Great team, we were greeted with a couple of sample slices of pie, just a tasting. And a tease. We ordered the mushroom steak and cheese, and were not disappointed. It's big enough to save half for another meal. Or I imagine it could be split. Also ordered Fries. Delicious."

"Wanted to try Nick's for the first time tonight and wasn't impressed. The order arrived almost an hour after estimated delivery time. We did order a decent amount of delivery. $83 total. Pizza was much smaller than expected. For $3 added on each additional topping, I expected their large pizza to have been much larger than what we got. The ricotta was only noticeable on 2 of the 8 slices. $10.50 for 8 small cold jalapeno poppers. We ordered the small portion, but I can only assume the large would have only been a few more. We order 2 steak rolls at $4.95 a piece. Came with no sauce and were cold as well. Side of Mac came in a container that was melted from the heat that I can only assume it was served in before it arrived because, again, it was cold when it got here. Won't be ordering again."

"The staff was very friendly. They were happy to see a family with children (infant and toddler) coming in, they talked to the kids and helped with anything they could. The food was great. My infant daughter and I loved the shepherd's pie bowl."

"This was our first visit to check it out. I ordered the grilled salmon, with sauteed spinach and potato salad sides. The grilled salmon was really good! Tasty fish, nicely cooked and a nice-sized portion. It came with a caper sauce on the side but the fish was great without it and I didn't use much of the sauce. I was quite impressed overall, especially for a "sandwich/pizza" shop. The sauteed spinach was also very nice, clearly fresh spinach and nicely cooked with garlic. My only request would be to cut back on the salt as it was super salty. The potato salad was served in a side dish but was tasty and fresh. The folks working there were very friendly and helpful as well. The only thing we didn't like was that it was SUPER smoky inside! I don't know how the poor people in the kitchen can work like that. You could literally see the smoke hanging in the air. And after eating inside we came out smelling like we had been in a house fire. Probably just part of starting up a new restaurant, but it would be great if you improve the ventilation system for that kitchen! Look forward to our next visit. Interested to try out the Nick's Bowls and roast beef!"

"We tried Nick's Place for the first time and ordered the Nick's Special Pizza for takeout. Very tasty for a fast food restaurant and loaded with toppings. The pizza was cooked perfectly and ready in under 20 minutes. The staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend for a quick meal in Newmarket!"
