"Disappointing experience selling them my Forester with a blown engine. They gave me the bottom of their range despite the car’s otherwise pristine condition and many recent big-ticket parts. The reason for the low-ball price? “Rust underneath.” The car had just passed inspection someplace else with no mention of rust as an issue. And what car in Maine doesn’t have rust underneath? Anyway, feeling ripped off and let down and will never buy a car here. I felt at the time they were my only and best option, and perhaps they knew that too."
"Please use extreme caution when purchasing a vehicle from Norms. I’m only writing this to help others learn from my extremely costly mistake of trusting Norm’s. Engine failed after only 4 months of purchasing my used Subaru, amongst several other issues. I also urge all who are buying to do independent research on warranties and legalities. Several reputable automotive businesses have stated there is a large increase in vehicles purchased from Norm’s needing work shortly after being purchased. Vehicles are often bought wholesale or from auction, patched with used parts, then listed for a pretty penny which, in turn, causes severe financial distress to the buyer."
