"My mom went into a nursing home and I needed to change her home owners insurance over to an unoccupied dwelling policy. We have been with Gilmore & Farrell for many years. Jean Walsh recommended a policy and quoted a new price that was triple, which I promptly accepted. A few months later 2 radiator water pipes exploded. We called G & F and filed a claim. Much to our surprise the policy does not cover water, it actually covers barely anything. I trusted this agency to advise me on coverage and I was under the impression that this was a great policy that would cover what we had for coverage previously. I am not an insurance agent and I rely on the experts to properly advise me, that is their job. They were fully aware of our situation and needs. Come to find out they fully acknowledged that the policy they sold us was horrible and they don't really sell these very much, but its the only unoccupied they offer. Had I known this I would have spent time calling other agencies. Now I am stuck dealing with 30K in damages and incredibly inconvenient mess.
