"A slice of Italy in the midcoast. Solo Pane e Pasticceria transported us to the European bakeries we often fall in love with during our travels. From the moment we walked inside, we were taken aback by the smell of fresh bread and the dozens of picture-perfect pastries. My partner had a savory snack, and I had a yummy pastry filled with hazelnut butter that was just incredible. We were both impressed by the quality, presentation, and taste. At $5-7 on average for a pastry, they aren’t necessarily the cheapest, but they are worth it. Add a coffee from their dedicated coffee bar, and you’ll get an authentic Italian breakfast for around $10. I also heard they do aperitifs… I so wish I lived closer! The “worst” thing about Solo Pane is having to decide what you’ll order — everything looked divine."

"What a great addition to the area. Friendly staff. The food is top notch. We had their croissants, which were freshly made and their Espresso was spot on. We stay for an hour or so. And there was constantly a line of people, so they stay busy. Definitely worth a visit."
