"Basically an expensive H&R Block, but rude, and incompetent. I sent my documents in months in advance, sent multiple followup emails, no response. Then about 2 weeks before the deadline they called me. They do not know how Roth IRAs and IRAs work. I had to speak with the owner in order to fix a mistake that would have cost me thousands of dollars if I hadn't caught it in the first place. Then they tried to blame the mistake on me. A second mistake related to HSAs would have also incurred a penalty. There was a discrepancy in one of the documents that they admittedly thought was odd ("had never seen before") but never brought it to my attention. I discovered it just before my return was submitted, followed up with my HSA and had it fixed/clarified."

"Over the last two tax seasons I have used Medaglia & Co Inc. and been extremely happy with there work, knowledge, willingness to explain procedures and much more. This year I dropped off my tax documents on 02/23/19 with the owner and office manager no problem. Then on 02/25/19 I sent more documents via email to them, called to confirm the receipt of the documents and was told by the office manager that I had been getting undercharged the last two years. The office manager explained that she would speak with the owner to confirm and get back to me. I followed up a day or two later and was informed that I would need to come pick up my documents and box of receipts. Then organize, add them up, as well as the emails I had sent and bring them back. The reasoning that this was occurring was that it wasn’t cost effective for them to organize and add everything up. I replied that I understood however it wasn’t cost effective for me to drive back and forth to Nashua from Manchester six times not including picking up the taxes once they were done. The office manager replied with a significant attitude that I could have someone else do them, I called her out on her attitude and she promptly denied giving me attitude. Interestingly enough the former employee that had done my taxes the prior two years was no longer with the company which is why I was now dealing with the rude, money greedy, office manger. Needless to say I have now gone to a better accountant in Manchester, NH. I would not recommend Medaglia & Co Inc. to anyone, they are kind of like a psychopath killer that brings you in close, is friendly to you and then turns on you. Consumers beware."
