"On 5/23/23 my contractor and I met at Jackson lumber, where he had an account. The initial reception by Richard Kessel was warm and friendly, he offered us tea, and appeared to be very accommodating of our lumber needs. After some material recommendation by him, my contractor placed the order. All seemed fine at the time. The total cost for the material was $6,437.73, and a delivery date was scheduled. On delivery day, the amount of cedar being delivered was less than what i was charged for, it was of poor quality, and needed to be returned. On the original invoice i received from Richard, he billed me for 96 LF of cedar 16 and 96 LF of cedar 18, totaling $2,266.56 + tax. However, what was listed on the delivery invoice was 40 LF of cedar 16 and 49 LF of cedar 18, totaling $1,077.78 + tax. There was huge discrepancy between these 2 invoices. Furthermore, upon closer inspection the transactions had 2 different invoice numbers? The amount difference between the 2 invoices was $1,188.76, not a small sum. Richard and this company charged me $1,188.76 for material they never intended to deliver, and thats fraud. It appears such practice is common there. Given, Richards only response thus far when confronted about his fraudulent act has been to deflect from the subject matter. Except this is illegal, and it can not be deflected away."

"I ordered Andersen windows from this place in January. A defective window was received in March, which I promptly reported. The service finally got in touch with me the last week of June! Now, it's been explained to me that the issue lies with Andersen and their poor customer service. However, the go between was Jackson Lumber, and I really had to ride this place to get communications to and from Andersen. Never was there an update without me reaching out to Jackson Lumber to inquire. Reactive, not proactive advocates for wronged customers. Had I not been very persistent, at the expense of my time and ultimately my patience, I wonder if there would have ever been progress at all."

"Good service at counter, very knowledgeable across all facets. Avoid the old troll named Joe (operations mgr) he will be rude & abrasive if made to work the counter horrible attitude! Looks as if I'll be moving my 200k in business elsewhere."
