Three Cod Tavern

"I stumbled across this gem while searching for a restaurant outside of Salem, but still close enough to certain places we wanted to visit. The food here is amazing! We sat in the bar area and the waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and made several recommendations. We will definitely come back."

"The Three Cod Tavern is super cute and the staff is very attentive and friendly. We were slightly disappointed in the food, we each got haddock cooked differently and it was just okay. We like a significant amount of seasoning, so we found the dishes to be a little plain. It's a historical site and a restaurant in one, so I'm still glad we went!"

"Great experience from beginning to end. We arrived a bit before dinner service, but, we were seated anyway and cold beverages were promptly offered. My salad was crisp and appropriate size for dinner side salad. Warm rolls and cornbread were quite enjoyable with butter chips. I ordered broiled scallops and 9 ounce sirloin, which honestly could not have been cooked more perfectly. My dining companion had fried scallops with fries and coleslaw. Needless to say we returned our plates completely empty."

"Nice little spot. Bar on one side, restaurant on the other. I went in because of the locals going in and out. Obviously popular place. My server was a sweet older lady with a limp. She was like your Mom,lol. Truly Sweet. I'd go here just for her. I got the Jumbo Shrimp. It was a bit bready. A bit crunchy,for my tastes. I noticed it was the only Seafood not Market Priced, so it may have been frozen. My fault. It wasnt bad, by any means. It just didn't wow! I did thoroughly enjoy my meal,and would go again."

"Ate here twice (lunch, then dinner) during our visit to Marblehead. First stop was after driving for hours and just needed a place to eat. Upon walking in we immediately felt welcome. Townie atmosphere with quick, lively service and really good seafood. Both visits our food was fresh and hot, while our drinks were cold and strong. Perfect combo for us weary travelers. Owned by locals and well worth the visit."
