Crow's Nest Restaurant

"Over the past several years we have made the 1.5 hour trip to Warwick several times because this was our favorite restaurant in Rhode Island. Unfortunately we found out there is new ownership and it is not the same place we remember. The food was ok but not great. The whole belly clams I would still say we’re very good but unfortunately they changed their fries from normal french fries to a textured seasoned fry which if I knew that I would not of ordered them. My fiancé had the bake stuffed shrimp and the stuffing was not as tasteful as she remembered and she decided to get onion rings with it which were very dry. The atmosphere is nice as the place has been remodeled and the wait staff was very attentive but all the waitresses kept emptying was it’s new ownership kind of like deal with it. The bottom line is with the menu if it’s not broken don’t change it. Just not sure if we will go back because the quality of the food is a step down from what it once was. I hope whoever reads this takes this as a constructive."

"Just right. Placed right in a cove where you can see the water and boats all while dining on some really good sea food. There is an outside deck that has a bar,probably perfect on a cool summer nite and seating to also eat. Waitstaff was very nice and overall a clean restaurant. I had fish tacos and the spicy sauce was perfect. My buddy had the broiled swordfish and couldn't eat it fast enough. Wood be a nice date nite place to go,or 1st date...I will be returning there again."

"The broccoli au gratin is delicious, like real good. The chowder is tasty, a few clams per fried balls of dough, good but toss in a couple more for the next guy. The fish was cooked to perfection and super moist. Nice spot looking out from the bar, great service."

"What kind of New England seafood doesn't have 1 crab item on the menu? Odd, right? But lots of clams! My husband had their NE clam chowder 4:5 stars, thick & flavorful. The rest of us don't care for clams because like oysters and mussels, they taste sandy and gritty. Not a lot of NOT fried options...We tried the calamari for an appetizer 5:5, the lobster roll 3:5, bay scallops (very fishy tasting) 3:5, and much fewer fried (no flavor) shrimp 3:5 than you would expect for the price. The place was packed! So we must've simply not gotten the chef specialties, but the restaurant was tucked away in a neighborhood on the bay and it was still a positive experience. The best part, was our server, a hilarious young Brazilian man who just moved from Lake Worth, FL to Rhode Island 6 months ago. He was fun!"

"Very very accommodating to me and my wife and 2 kids. Not only was the food amazing but it was really fast. Chowder was great and they let me try the red as well. Oysters were fresh and lovely, also the mixed cocktails were great. So glad we found this place."
