"The best seafood restaurant in RI. The service was perfect. Our server told us the types of oysters, scallops, etc -- even where they came from. Was here with a party of five. See photos. Lobster Paella special, Karen Elizabeth Sea Scallops, crab cakes, paella."

"Food was awesome, consistency is the key. It has always been a great experience here! Started with the steamed Mussels appetizer. A fabulous flavor in the sauce! Had Grilled Yellow Fin Tuna a la Oscar, My girl had Seafood Casserole. Service was great and the atmosphere was a modern type of setting."

"This was my first time here, and after all this time living in RI, I’m not sure why this is my first appearance. It’s located in beautiful downtown Providence right along the Providence River and water fire area. They have an outside patio that seats plenty of in the summer months. The interior is very visually appealing as well. They have plenty of seating but you definitely need to make a reservation here. The hostess, and staff were professional as was their attire. The tables were set up in a classy way. Our server was great and attentive. The food was phenomenal, we had a large party and we tried multiple apps and entrees. Nothing disappointed. I look forward to coming back here. Seafood entrees were amongst the best I’ve had."

"So glad we found this spot on our way through town. Service and food were top notch. Parking validated and free for three hours. The Rhode Island clam chowder was excellent, try it if you haven’t had it. A clear broth that’s still flavorful and you can really taste the clam. I had the stuffed lobster with a side of mushrooms and the blood orange spritzer. Honestly, the 2lb lobster was almost too much, and could easily be shared by a couple. Very tasty with the shrimp/scallop/seafood mix inside. Make sure to get plenty of butter and lemon. There’s a waterfall fountain/tank at the front of the restaurant where if you want, you can meet the lobster before you eat it. I chose to let the staff use their discretion for this portion of the service. Wife went with the fish, wasn’t disappointed."

"This was my first time at Hemenway’s and it did not disappoint! - Service: attentive and made great suggestions. - Cleanliness: 5/5 - Food: all of our dishes were delicious. The star of the show was the lobster Mac and Cheese…. it has true chunks of lobster with an amazing cracker topping. Best lobster Mac and Cheese we have ever had. Not pictured was our various espresso martinis - so good! We cannot wait to go back!"
