"This is our second visit to Jo’s not even realizing we visited before. When we walked in we realized oh wait we’ve been here and really liked it. This time we were on a mission to try the lobster roll since I saw an amazing pic online. We went during a cold Saturday afternoon so a good martini and their yachtie pants drink hit the spot. Let me tell you friends the lobster roll and fig pizza aka Jo’s pizza was ahhhmazing!! Lobster role was SO generous with the meat. So much so we got full off of that. Oh can I share an honorable mention about the pickles? I love pickles and these were perfectly sweet and tart. Jo’s tell me more about your pickles?!! The pizza was out of this world. First of all mushrooms, aroogs, fig jam, goat cheese on some of the freshest homemade pizza crust with the perfect amount of chew. I wasn’t sure if there was cheese in the dough but it was perfection. Thanks Jo for the perfect afternoon delight ;-)"

"We had a wonderful experience sitting at the bar on Tuesday night. I forgot her name but she was the most wonderful and engaging bartender! Great cocktails! Our food was delicious and very filling. Highly recommend visiting Jo's!"

"I had a wonderful meal at Jo's American Bistro my last night in Newport. I really appreciated that I was treated well as a single diner, which isn't always the case. My server, Tracy, was lovely and she did a great job paying attention to timing to make sure that my burger came out at the right time and I had plenty of time to enjoy my salad. The wedge salad was great, and the bacon onion jam burger was absolutely fantastic and cooked to the requested medium level of doneness. I couldn't finish it all so ended up taking the leftovers back to my hotel and I have no shame admitting that I polished off the remains of the burger the next morning as breakfast!"

"The soup of the day was corn chowder and it was great! Lobster and duck quesadilla also was delicious. We enjoyed the cocktails. I didn’t like wedge salad - I just don’t like such type of salads. The service was fast and the staff is friendly and attentive to us. The prices are moderate. The place is clean and everything has a high quality. The restaurant was overcrowded, it’s better to order a table in advance."

"I discovered this place by doing a Google search for the best restaurants, and I am glad that I got a chance to eat here on my last night staying in Newport. Everything about this restaurant from the ambiance to the food is truly fantastic. The hostess that seated me was warm and welcoming, and my server (whom I didn't get a name) was friendly and very attentive. They have a great sized, reasonably priced menu, which includes Prix Fixe items that are served Sunday through Thursday from open to close. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder, the Pan Seared Cod, and Olive Oil Cake, and everything was fresh and delicious. The cod, which was the highlight of the meal, was so soft, flaky, and moist. The bartender can also whip up a great cocktail as well. The restaurant itself seems quite large and is kept very clean. They also have outdoor dining as well. Overall, I was very pleased with my first experience here over this past weekend, and I will be sure to stop in again the next time I visit the Newport area."
