"The lot is pretty tore up but the bathroom was clean and the movie (visual quality) was great. Hit up the snack stand for some treats while you're there! We will definitely be returning. So much better than a theater. I get to control the volume in my own vehicle, my seats are comfy, no strangers sitting close, much more affordable too!"
"It was our first drive in experience, and I would say it wasn't amazing, but it wasn't horrible. The cons: extremely unpaved/bumpy roads. Your car may be parked on somewhat of an angle. The lines on the ground were difficult to see, and we did not have any direction. Some cars left their headlights on. Another car had people smoking weed. Although this is against regulation, it is not regulated. Pros: it's a pretty large place with three screens. They have lots of nice options at the snack shack. I felt the quality of the projection was really good. We got a panasonic portable radio, and it worked amazingly. The price is unbeatable. It made for a very lovely date night."
"Rustic Tri View has been entertaining Rhode Island since 1951. In it's hayday it was likely quite the place... Positives are the low cost ($30 per car, summer 2023), decent newer projection equipment and a recently renovated concession shack and restrooms. On the negatives column, the curvature of the hillside and humps seems to all curve towards screen 1 (likely the 1951 layout), which means that if your film is being shown on screens 2 or 3 your car will be leaning to one side and back. Screens 2 and 3 are on the back corners at the top of the lot. The pavement has seen better days, like Rhode Island roads, the pavement is full of patches patching patches, cracks and generally in disrepair. This makes walking treacherous particularly in the dark, twisted ankle waiting to happen. Parking spots are barely visible. This is less so, for certain areas better maintained near the snack shack and screen 1. The paved areas near screens 2 and 3 look like they need a good mowing from all the weeds coming through the cracks. However, the biggest negative is that many viewers basically tailgate and are not quiet during the movie, this take away from hearing the movie. Maybe these are people who aren't allowed at movie theaters because they talk through the entire movie, so they go to the Rustic? Maybe these are just annoying people who are there for a tailgate party versus a movie??? Also, the many people who turn on headlights and car lights during the movie. There aren't any attendants to keep these annoying people from ruining your experience. I mean come on people, turn off your lights and don't be inconsiderate bafoons."
"The drive-in theater experience was fun and entertaining. We saw a double header that started at 8:45 and ended after 1am. So plan ahead. Some cars left and some joined between the movies. The sound was great through our radio and you can watch thought the front windshield or open the back liftgate of your vehicle. We enjoyed viewing out the back and had a comfy setup with sleeping bags and blankets. The viewing is not high definition due to outdoor constraints and a few forgetful drivers leaving their headlights in until they were reminded to turn them off. We will likely be back again in better weather."
"Excellent spot and great value! Two movies for about $30 can’t be beat. You can bring snacks, but the concessions are fairly priced and the food was excellent! My car’s battery died early on, but the employees were friendly and quickly gave me a jump. Be prepared for a late night in summer, the movie started around 8:20 pm and we left after watching two near 12:30 am!"
