"Jon really had a great experience with the Charles Landing staff and property all together, simply couldn't recommend them more! The staff is professional, responsive, kind and considerate. The application process went very smooth and quickly; they utilize current technology for website direct application and payments, which made the process seamless from beginning to end. Property is safe with security cameras throughout, quiet, and well maintained. Lastly, the location is very convenient in the heart of downtown, close to the mall, markets, restaurants, and all transportation options. Overall, definitely recommending this property to responsible, respectful and considerate tenants. Thank you!"

"I can't believe they have the gall to charge so much for these terrible apartments. Nothing has been updated since the 80's. There are giant gaps in the floorboards and cabinets falling off the hinges. For some inexplicable reason my bedroom didn't have a ceiling and was open to the rest of the house. The washers and dryers are broken more often than not, and when they do work you need multiple cycles to dry a tiny amount of clothes. There is no insulation, pipes leak, cars race in front of the house from sunset to sunrise, the ancient water heaters are ludicrously expensive to run. Your packages will be stolen all the time, people will break into your car regularly, rats will swarm you when you take the trash out at night, and junkies leave their feces and used needles on the property. There was an entire homeless encampment in the yard building a mountain of garbage behind the pool that was always closed. And for the privilege of living in this dilapidated ghetto you have to pay $2500 a month for a two bedroom. Go literally anywhere else."

"I am very unsatisfied with my experience as an applicant. I applied on November 30th, and anytime I called their office to schedule a showing, an answering service picked up and nobody returned my messages. They were very slow to process my application and respond via email. My application was approved on Dec 5th, despite never having the opportunity to see the unit in person or step foot on site, at which point I felt that these were signs management would not be attentive to their tenant's needs. When I informed them of my intention to withdraw my application, they told me it is company policy not to refund the $500 holding fee after 48 hours of application. I finally spoke to the property manager Celia, who was completely unempathetic and unhelpful, and refused to connect me with Taymil's regional manager to elevate the issue. I would not recommend doing business with this company, especially considering other property managers have had no issue in refunding their holding fees when I have decided the unit or community is not for me."

"terrible management. I just moved in 2 days. The unit is not cleaned before I move in, and the walls and floor are damaged, and the balcony is filled with cobwebs. They didn’t fix it and I bet they didn’t charge the last occupant for that. (That’s fine I would not fix it either if they don’t care about their unit’s condition.) Cables are included but not installed. I was trying to set it up myself while there is no instructions on how to do that at all. Their phone calls are only for emergencies, inpatient and can’t even answer where the trash should go. Laundry room smells like marijuana, and the machine selling laundry money card is not working. I Can’t even wash my clothes until the leasing office go back to work."

"I'm giving this apartment 0 stars (ignore the 1 star as that is Google's minimum allowable rating). This apartment complex is marketed as a smoke-free building (i.e., this detail is mentioned in the contract you sign) but that could not be further from the truth. There are resident(s) who regularly smoke in the building and in their units and this careless behavior endangers the health of everyone. For months, I have been consistently exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke in the common areas of this building (inside). Second-hand smoke is very harmful (toxic) and increases an individual's risk of cancer and other preventable diseases. I have reported this issue (i.e., this is a violation of our leasing contract as tenants) on multiple occasions now to management yet they have not done anything to address this issue. READ: I strongly discourage everyone from signing a lease at this apartment because: 1)You will be regularly exposed to secondhand cigarette smoke, and 2) your monthly rent will increase every year without any improvements to the apartment complex."
