"Update: the response to the bad review shows how much they care. Again I reiterate, go somewhere else! Pros: the woman who did my pedi was nice. Cons: the chairs were just chairs, no massager. Your feet just went in a bowl of water. Overall, the pedicure was lackluster. I order a soak and massage. I’m surprised I hate to pay extra for it. The massage was what you usually get at any other place included. The woman who greeted me wasn’t very friendly. I canceled my facial with them because of today’s experience. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, especially for the price."

"WORST nail salon experience of my life and the week of my wedding day!! They charge you $30 per hand and foot to remove your nail polish and tell you it’ll be a charge to remove it but don’t tell you it’s $30!! I live in LA and i e never heard of charging that much it’s absurd. Then they didn’t even do a good job - my nail broke and peeled off two days later on my rehearsal dinner night and i had to go to a random salon nearby Kennebunkport to fix it!! It completely wrecked my wedding day timeline and ended up causing a ripple effect of things going not according to plan on my wedding day. :/// They also did my moms nails and they were horrifying as well with smudges. We contacted the manager and she basically shrugged and didn’t do anything. $400 for a mani and pedi for both of us not including tip. INSANE! I only went here on my wedding coordinator’s recommendation and i have steered her straight for future brides. Worst experience ever !!!!! Do not go here !!!!"

"Today I had Shannon for a mani/pedi and she did a fantastic and careful job! She got my nails the length and shape I like which I’ve never had a nail tech be willing to do, because I like them so short! She had exceptional attention to detail and was pleasant to chat with during my appointment. I’d definitely come back to have her next time!"

"I have been going to Buff + File (both locations) for many years. The quality in the services surpasses anywhere else in the area. Felicia, my fabulous nail tech is so thoughtful and considerate, reviewing everything with me each step of the way through my treatments. The quality of caring for nails is amazing! I personally have nails that grow quickly, and as a RN I am constantly putting my hands through a lot on a daily basis. Not only am I able to go over 2 weeks without chips, but my cuticles have never looked better!! All the staff at the Portsmouth Green location are friendly, kind, and welcoming. They provide a very comfortable environment and the prices of the services are well worth the quality of work they continue to maintain! Thank you so much Buff + File!!"

"Buff and File is NOT your typical nail salon. A girlfriend and I have spent the past two years going from nail salon to salon in search of a salon BOTH of us are happy at and WANT to go back - a hard find. The pictures of my nails were taken exactly 3 weeks apart, usually by the end of week 1 I’ve chipped a nail, and by week 2 lifting has started and I’m ripping the polish off. The very first thing I loved about Buff and File is their soak off method for polish, I HATE having my polish drilled off. Another thing you’ll notice is the meticulous care for your nail and cuticle bed before they even start applying polish, any other salon you either get quality care or quality polish design. Saphron knew I was in a little bit of a hurry - poor planning on my part and not a mistake I’ll be making when I go back next week. Regardless, I walked out incredibly happy with the quality of work done on my nails. And then when I realized today that I’d had the same polish for 3 weeks, and absolutely no problems, I knew everyone else had to know. I cannot recommend Buff and File enough, ask for Saphron, you won’t be disappointed!"
