Shepherd's Run

"Shepherd’s Run is such an all around beautiful place. From the staff, to their chef, and every small detail in between, I cannot recommend this winery enough! You could say I’m biased because my wedding was here on Labor Day weekend of 2023, but I’ve been coming here since they opened and have always had such a relaxing experience. If you are looking at Shepherds Run as a wedding venue, it’s the best decision my husband and I could have made and we are so happy we get to visit so often and see all the friendly faces that helped make it happen."

"We wanted to love our stay at Shepherd's Run but unfortunately, we were not the priority. There was a wedding the night we arrived and from the very beginning, it felt as though we were not welcomed. Security directed us away from the parking lot near our room to the other side of the property. We were asked to close our car doors softly as to not disturb the wedding. While we appreciate someone having everything go as planned on their big day - it would have been nice to know there was a wedding planned as it would have changed our desire to stay at the property. The welcome wine was a nice offer but again, we were asked to avoid the wedding which meant not using the outdoor space. The bedroom was lovely - designed very well with comfortable beds. However, we woke in the morning to pool construction - which our room overlooked. The complementary breakfast was nice. Both the person serving the wine and the breakfast were very pleasant. Which was refreshing as these were the only people we interacted with during our stay, besides the aforementioned security. Overall, the property is lovely but save your money by staying somewhere else. While the room was nice, the price tag is not worth just staying in your room as to not disturb what appears to be Shepherd's Run main revenue generator - weddings."

"Our stay was so lovely! We really enjoyed the beautiful decor, gardens, and charming seating areas all throughout the property. There was one disappointment that prevented our experience from being a 5 star rating, and that was they ran out of breakfast by 8:30 am on a Sunday. This was not expected from a place of this caliber. We asked the staff about the limited breakfast, and we were told that was it, there was no more."
