"I love this hanaford but for the last week there have been the same 7-10 dented dog food cans intentionally put in front. They are hoping someone will buy the damaged cans. Why are they doing this when the food pantry won’t even accept dented cans because it’s a safety hazard. Do they not care about dogs???"

"So clean and neat. Well stocked with a wider variety than area grocery stores. Produce always fresh; fresh fish. Bright and well lit. Helpful staff. I'm so happy that Hannaford is in Brunswick, NY."

"Used this grocery store a decent amount and their food is just always spoiled and gross. I just bought these sugar snap peas and avocados yesterday and there’s mold and bugs in there. I can’t tell you how many things of chicken I’ve bought that said there good for a week still then I open the chicken and it’s already rotten."

"Very poor produce department. Like this since new store opened. Bad produce. Produce needs to be higher grade. Needs watched by manager. Todays example. Purchased Friday. Went to cook for dinner Saturday: all dried. Total garbage. Not just one...all! I am a regular. But for produce...back to Market 32 and local Farmers Market. Tired of such low quality produce...and garbage produce. Also on container sold produce...much out of dates..meaning expired should not be up for sale! Soaking greens likes parsley etc..to revive it after wilting on shelf..then putting it back out for sale at full fresh price is an inexcusable practice! It is cheating the customer. Bad produce usually means poor and bad fresh groceroes all over. This is unhealthy and unprofessional. Corporate needs to replace produce management at this location. Needs kept clean. Old produce needs replaced..not covered with new produce on displays..lazy! Where are regional corporate executives? They should be surprise visiting to keep produce department clean. Selling fresh merchandise.This ongoing situation is appauling. The store management needs to stay focused. The main entrance is produce. The worst managed department in store. Long term issues remain when those at top are not comprehensive in the overall business. Produce has failed. Time for Store management to get it together! The one star is not for Produce...it is because they have several mature experience Service Desk Self Check Out 5 STAR staff...cordial professional friendly. Peggy and Kary are fantastic!!! It is a shame to see the world of difference between the end of shopping interaction that is excellent...verses the beginning unacceptable produce department! Several weeks later: No contact follow up to review! Executive and Pres. Hannafords had even been in store, after this posting. Now they have a sign on corn display. No shucking in store... So customers cannot check the corn....even mid September. Plus, all the rusks were withered and dried out. Terrible!"

"UPDATE 8/2023 This is still an excellent Hannaford. The store is immaculate! Very clean, well kept, and organized inside and out. Clean floors, shelves, entrances, and a clean bathroom. The shelves are well stocked, and neatly organized in each department. The produce is fresh and well stocked with a wide variety. The meat dept is excellent! They have a wide variety of meats with various cuts of meat as well a butcher counter. All the meats looked fresh! The seafood looked fresh and neatly organized. Another highlight of this store is the prepared foods dept. They have wide variety of prepared foods including a hot food bar, hot wing bar, fresh made pizza, stir fry bar, chicken (both fried and rotisserie chicken), and sushi. I’ve tried the mac & cheese and mashed potatoes from the hot bar and they’re delicious! The chicken tenders, jalapeño poppers, fries, and mozzarella sticks are delicious as well. The pizza is actually very good for a supermarket! Flavorful and tasty with a tasty cheese, and sauce! I’ve tried their pepperoni pizza, and it was yummy! The deli dept is clean with a wide variety, they have a wide selection of specialty cheeses as well. The bakery dept is well stocked and neatly organized with lots of fresh baked goods. I’ve bought their muffins and donuts and they’re delicious! The rest of the store has a wide variety and is usually well stocked and organized. There is a beer section next to the chip aisle. This store also has a pharmacy, Hannaford to go, and a clynk bottle deposit, like most Hannaford stores. This location hasn’t been too crowded when I’ve gone, making for a pleasant shopping experience. The staff here are friendly and helpful. I’ve always found Hannaford has excellent staff no matter which location I go to, and this store is no exception! I would recommend checking expiration dates, I did find a several expired items in the condiment section, but overall freshness was very good throughout. I saw the review below about the bad produce, but I looked everything over throughout the department and found the fruits and vegetables to be fresh. Overall, this is a very nice Hannaford, definitely one of the best and cleanest I’ve been to. They’re doing a great job here, hopefully they keep up the good work for the foreseeable future!"
