"Literally the worst bacon egg and cheese sandwich Ive ever received. Wont say eaten cause I discarded it after two bites. Bread choice is commercial white or wheat. Egg and cheese, both cold and clearly not cooked to order as the thing came out in 45 seconds. Not melted, not hot, not tasty. Makes an egg McMuffin seem like fine dining.....staff was warm and helpful.....and don't order coffee unless you like powdered creamer."
"I used to LOVE living across the street from the smyrna Helen's Sausage house and hated being so far from it after I moved to Newark. Thank God they decided to open the Newark location because I can get it all the time . It's beyond delicious. And the staff were all so polite and ."
"Pros: prices are reasonable, menu is simple, staff seem relatively organized for only being open a few weeks, generous amount of bacon Cons: food is cold, cheddar cheese sauce tastes cheap, way too much bread for the amount of food, food is not made to order - it’s assembled like at Wawa, egg was sad, bread was a cheap hot dog bun Walk the extra half block to The Original Hot Bagels, pay $1.00 extra, and have a meal worthy of putting inside your body"
"I've gone to Helen's in Smyrna for years. When I heard they were opening up a location in Newark near where I live, I went there as soon as possible. The sausages and other food items that I ordered were outstanding, just like at the original location. However, the wait was crazy long. And I'm not exactly sure why. In Smyrna, there were often long lines as well, but they moved quickly. In Newark, the line started outside of the building, which I'm not surprised by. But even after I got into the building, it was still almost an hour until I placed my order. Everyone in line was good natured about the wait. All of the staff were kind and helpful. But for whatever reason the wait was just really long. Oh well, after I ate my sausage sandwich I felt much better!"
"For almost double the price and half the size.......not surprised. Nothing is ever better then the original!! The taste is there and that's the only reason for the 2 stars. Hopefully this was just a fluke I'll give it one more shot."
