"My son was a patient of Dr. Chitra Vaidy. When he was 3 years old we explained many red flag concerns we/he had been experiencing. We were told "That's just who he is and he will have to learn how to deal with it his whole life." After further pressing she gave us a referral to a phycologist to "ease our mind". Not liking her response we switched to another pediatrician who immediately referred him to be evaluated at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Fast forward a year later and he has been diagnosed and treated for various conditions. His growing list includes sensory processing disorder, speech sound disorder, receptive/expressive language delay, anxiety, ADHD, minor neuromotor abnormalities, and fine motor delay. Bottom line is my son was 2, with parents who knew something wasn't right and it was affecting his quality of life. We reached out for help from Dr. Vaidy and our concerns were brushed off. I hate to imagine how my son's life would have been impacted if we didn't reach out for help elsewhere. I also worry about other children, both present and future, under Dr. Vaidy's care."
