"I began seeing Dr. Edler in March. My first appointment was supposed to be in February, however, when I arrived to my appointment I was told by the office staff that she was called away to an emergent C-Section. I was irritated because I drove from Dover and no one had given me a call to let me know this. So, my rescheduled appointment for March arrives and I meet Dr. Edler and she’s amazing! Great bedside manners and detail oriented. I scheduled my follow up appointment as I was leaving for June 10th. On June 7th I received a voicemail from the office staff stating Dr. Edler wouldn’t be in on the 10th and my appointment had been changed and to call the office to confirm the new day and time. I called the number back, no answer, left a voicemail. Never received a call back. Days went by I still didn’t receive a call back so I went into mychart and saw that my appointment was rescheduled for June 24th at 10:45am. I had another appointment at 1pm in Dover so I figured I would be out in time to make that appointment. WRONG! On June 24th I waited from 10:45-12:20 without being seen. As a result, I left! There is a note written in my chart that I left without being seen. However, no one from the office has bothered to reach out to me to see why I left or anything! It is my assumption that the office staff double booked Dr. Edler on this day after my previous appointment on June 10th had to be rescheduled. Which resulted in the long wait time. This is not okay, if the time slot was taken do not “pencil” someone else in to try to make the time work because it makes for a POOR patient experience. Edit: It has been 3 months since I’ve written this review and no one has contacted me from this office. I have not received a phone call or email, no form of communication, from Allison as the person who responded to my originally review stated I would be. It is disheartening that the values of Bayhealth as an organization are not being upheld. Sadly, based on my own experience and reviews from others there’s a huge gap between their mission statement and the care that is being provided.
