"My mother had a stroke and after a week was discharged and sent home still not at baseline of course, but improving. A week later she developed altered mentation and went to this hospital. Basically with similar stroke symptoms. She was put in waiting room…no stroke alert called. It took 5 hours before she had her CT and that was only after a call to the ER supervisor or Charge nurse. This is unacceptable. Hopefully her symptoms do not turn out to be a new CVA and she was left in a waiting room and didn’t receive even the basic of stroke care per best practice and standards of care for strokes. LAW SUITE"

"The worst. They don't deserve 1 star. Negative 2 is more appropriate. 9.5 hours to see a doctor. I have walked out after 4 to 7 hours on at least 6 occasions... usually with our elderly parents. Under staffed. Rude. And obviously don't care about all the horrible reviews. Very sad situation for New Castle County residents."

"Ni!! She’s so amazing. She made my daughter and myself feel so loved. Incredible customer service and just a beautiful human being. The team on the second floor surgical are the greatest. Thank you for making a very anxiety ridden day a little less with your kindness and love!!"

"Left without being seen. I went to the ER for a possible heart issue and no one ever came to tell me if my results showed anything serious. I had an EKG, bloodwork and an x-ray done when I first got there. I overheard people saying they had been waiting 12+ hours to be seen, I was there for about 4-5 hours with no communication from medical staff. I went to the front desk and asked if everything was normal with my tests and when I would be seen. They said everything was fine and that someone would’ve come to speak with me sooner if the results were abnormal. Me being super anxious about my health, I didn’t appreciate that no one came to update me. After that I just left. I do not recommend this hospital for emergencies. No communication at all and you sit and wait forever. I did just get a bill for $1400 though in the mail!"

"After waiting for 7.5 hours, we get told that there is a need to follow up externally with a GI doctor to get tests done. Also told if symptoms get worse to come back to the ED. Are you kidding me? Just to wait another 7.5 while bleeding is still occurring?!?!?! Thought this was a hospital, not a doctors office. Still no answers and issues persist. This hospital is a joke! Could have got better attention and care at the Newark emergency room on Main Street than we did here. Not to mention how filthy the ED is. Husband encountered blood on the bathroom sink multiple times during our visit yesterday and then this in the one bathroom ?!?!?! Get it together. Gross!"
