Planned Parenthood - Dover Center

"My friend "Kay" was recommended to PPDE in Wilmington for an abortion on her 12 week fetus. She was unsure to have the abortion and scared. The doc that day never counseled her for 2nd opinion. The doc at the time was Zoe Barnes. While "Kay" was scared on the table, the doc ordered lunch on phone right in front of her! Very rude and unprofessional. After the abortion Kay couldn't stop bleeding next day she went to Hospital and nearly bled to death-turns out an ultrasound at the hospital ER revealed mostly all parts of baby were still left inside her! She nearly died! Kay was only 18, single at the time and had 2 very young ones at home. She is a good mom. Loves her kids! PPDE has gone through 2 more docs after Zoe Barnes, Larry Glazerman (Obg/gyn), Martha Simmons, a GP. But NOW who knows what doctor if any is doing abortions. In Delaware, a Nurse practitioner can do abortions! It may be legal, but it doesn't appear safe. I recommend researching your doctor's history. Patients have rights! PP Dover has clients drive to ER - no ambulance was ever called when 2 girls were seriously injured in 2017. (One spent 4 days in ICU!). She thought the procedure was safe too."

"I was really nervous going into my appointment. Lavonya was amazing she made me comfortable, made me laugh and took my mind off of the procedure. Amazing experience! Emily was very professional and was super nice, made sure I was taken care of and also made me feel comfortable. Lyrik helped as well! Wonderful staff 10/10!"

"Had an appointment on 1/14/22, I actually almost went to my appointment until I saw that the building was closed. I didn’t get any notification or request to cancel my appointment! Good thing I didn’t waste 45 minutes driving up to Dover just to find out it suddenly closed without my knowledge. Just wish I received a call or email at best to let me know ahead of time!"

"After going to a previous clinic where I was extremely uncomfortable, I decided to go to PP. They were extremely professional, caring, and informative. From the moment I walked in I felt calm. I was prepared to be in the office all day and they got me in and out within about an 1hr and 30mins. They even took me before my scheduled time. I would highly recommend. Thank you!"

"My boyfriend and I came here, and the staff was absolutely wonderful and fast. Not sure what happened with the reviewer down below, but we had no problems. The facilities are clean, and the waiting room is really nice. The staff is super friendly, and made us feel welcome to be there. We booked our appointments at the end of the day, on a non-busy day, so we were in and out pretty quick. The clinician was great as well. All-in-all, we had no problems, and the experience was honestly very nice."
