"Walking into The Goat, you are met by a warm atmosphere, kind staff, large square/horseshoe bar, and country vibes. The staff are friendly, the food delicious, and atmosphere cozy yet vibrant. I recently had the opportunity to visit during their Miracle Popup bar during Christmas. This elevated the already amazing atmosphere and was such a fun, enjoyable time. My table all had 2 for 1 burgers - a must on a Tuesday - and cranberry margaritas. The margarita is one of the best cranberry margaritas I have had! And the burgers always delicious. Traditional bar pub fare with a twist on some items and amazing beverages. Highly recommend if you are in the Portsmouth area!"

"10 cent Wing night is really what brings us to the goat on Wednesday nights. The waitstaff are always accommodating and over the top friendly. The wings are always great and my son really enjoyed his dessert. I do have to say the design for this establishment might have been one of the worst thought out ideas I've seen at any restaurant in many years. There's nowhere at all to stand and wait for your table. The employees expect you to wait outside (in 28 degree weather.. with wind.. with your kids) or they expect you to go wait at the bar (also with your kids). The gentleman standing at the door next to us immediately declined moving to the crowded bar with his son while waiting for a seat for dinner. It's not the customers fault that it was designed very poorly and there's nowhere for us to stand and wait"

"Went during the Christmas season to get the full experience and wasn't disappointed, just expect to wait awhile as they do not take reservations; plan accordingly (went down the street to a brewery to wait). The holiday themed drinks were great additions to the menu. Where they really shine is the amount of beautiful holiday decorations, which are quite literally everywhere. Everywhere you look, there is something different to see. The food is nothing special but tastes good, mostly sandwich type meals. The burger was as expected, pasta salad as well. A fun holiday experience to be sure."
