"If I could give a 6th star I would. Bas Rouge is an experience you are sure to love and never forget. The menu offers the highest quality ingredients with creative combinations that satisfy the palate with every bite. The staff is very attentive and courteous. They know the menu well and are pleasant to talk with. The ambiance is romantic and cozy particularly in the colder months. They have a very large wine list with selections from around the world. The cocktail we tried was delicious. We did the 4-course (I highly recommend that option) with two appetizers each. The crudo was the best ahi tuna I’ve ever had. Very fresh tuna. The soup before appetizers is delightful. Savor it. The Venison for an entree is shipped New Zealand. If you love game meat, order it. If you love seafood the Scallops are very tender and seared with seasoned butter and white wine. Bread with the meal is all baked in house and there’s several to chose from. All are good. Two I would pick are the cheddar and the pretzel. Dessert is also made in house. We had cashew cake. If you love a rich and velvety cake with hints of vanilla and caramel, this is delicious. The chocolate raspberry tort with vanilla ice creams is outrageously good. They offer us two chocolate macaroons with sea salt and caramel. If they have it, it’s very good. Very much above your average baked goods. They offer after dinner espresso and cocktails as well. They were kind of enough to leave a gift for us after the dinner of a in house baked loaf of bread from The WardRoom and Corn Bread that was baked in house at Bas Rouge. Date night, anniversaries, celebrations would be all the better by coming here. We will be back soon!"

"2 4-course meals, 2.5 glasses of wine, $500 (after tip). Everything was delicious, but the quantities were very light. I understand this is common with French cuisine, but it was light. Also, although delicious, my snapper looked like it was parched. For this price, my meal should have looked as perfect as it tasted."

"This place is spectacular. The attention to detail begins when you arrive and doesn’t waiver until you leave, satisfied, and with a beautiful olive oil cake for the road. Every time we dine here the experience is memorable and this is due to their attention to detail, delicious menu, perfect wine pairings, and thoughtful service. The premium wine pairings are worth the step up as we were stunned to enjoy some of our hard to find favorites. The staff are engaging with the intent of going above and beyond to make your evening the best it can possibly be. Love every moment we spend here."

"First , Easton is a delightful community with a vibrant downtown, where Bas Rouge is located. This is fine dining and one should be expecting to pay top dollar for the experience here. Service is very attentive and timely. For the weekend outing with our party of four, we had reservations early in the evening, which had largely booked up some weeks in advance. We had fixed price with three courses with a few bite-sized offerings thrown in between those courses. One can easily amp up the expense by adding regular or premium wine pairings with each course, which we opted against, instead asking the sommelier for a recommendation for a bottle which was fine, but still close to $100. Several members of the party had traditional cocktails to start which were as-expected, nothing out of the ordinary. Parking can be available for free nearby and the surrounding area is very walkable. My recommendation is to book the reservation well in advance, look at the menu ahead of time because the dishes can be a bit complicated, but done very artfully, and finally don't be surprised by the cost. For a unique or special occasion, our experience was quite elegant the delicious. Although this is in a fairly casual community, the dress among patrons here was more formal with some of the men wearing sportcoats, but apparently not required (seemingly a rarity)."

"Very nice fancy restaurant. Impeccable French style service and excellent food. I had the $100 four course “prix fixe”. The first picture is the complimentary “amuse bouche” then I had the “summer gazpacho” (sorry I had a bite before taking the picture) followed by “tuna tartare” then salmon over lobster as my entrée and the “almond peach tart” for dessert (it looked so good I ate it all before I remembered to take a picture). All was delicious. I will absolutely come back next time I am in town!!!"
